SNL Franz far ahead now with SOTA-Activation-Points! 😉

This very foggy morning with abt. 4 degrees centigrade up on 1.800m could not stop us hurrying up to get 6 more points to our activator-log. After 1 hour and 10 minutes walk we reached our destination 1 hour before the spotted time and comfortably set up the 2 antennas (WNL`s W3DZZ and the Buddistick).

OE2ATN Tom and OE2SNL Franz were on a quite long SOTA-tour today. The whole way to walk was abt. 14 km. In the morning it was quite foggy and cold (only abt. +7 degrees). But WX cleared up until noon when we reached the last summit and it became really sunny…

WX was very fine today – mostly shady all the way up and temperatures of abt. 15 degrees up on 2.000m above sea level. We could go up by car to a height of 1.400m and therefore “only” had to climb up an altitude difference of 719m.

Today WX was very good – not too hot and always a light wind. Unfortunately propagation was not the best… SNL Franz was on another SOTA walk too and we were up on each summit on exactly the same time. 1st. QSO was therefore SOTA to SOTA on 2m FM.
